"Brianna's Healthy Fare, a catering firm that focuses on—you guessed it—healthy baked goods, launched in Chicago about a year ago. Brianna Mann, a Kendall College-trained pastry chef, prepares snacks that incorporate oat bran, soy flour, and carob, a low-fat alternative to chocolate. Her menu includes miniature cupcakes, peanut butter-banana muffins, and cranberry pound cakes. Mann is open to working with groups of any size, can deliver to businesses or event sites, and can also put together gift baskets with items such as low-fat pumpkin-chocolate cheesecake and vegan brownies.

Director: Action! Pan to Brianna. You’re young; you’re gorgeous; you’re Hollywood. You’re — giving cookies to the crew? Cut! B, are you an actress or a caterer?

Brianna: A caterer! Toodles!

Sucker for a happy ending? Check out Brianna’s Healthy Fare owner Brianna Mann. The actress-turned-chef bakes sweet, healthy creations in her Lincoln Park kitchen and delivers them to your door.

With Kendall College and nutrition classes under her belt, Mann began altering her grandma’s recipes — substituting agave for sugar and soy margarine for butter and using only egg whites.

The result: brownies and cupcakes, health bars, chocolate chip cookies, seasonal pies, and the best damn banana bread this side of the Mississippi.

Mann also does custom orders and can make anything vegan or gluten free. All she asks is 48 hours’ notice (72 on holidays).

Truly Oscar worthy.
